House dash Home: Family Room Inspiration

Our bonus room is trucking along. Justin and I have been stretching ourselves pretty thin this week trying to get through the paint phase before Friday. Yup, you heard that right. We are painting! Which means we are pretty darn close to being d.o.n.e. Well, kinda done. We still have a few finishing touches before we can call this room really done.

Our long awaited couch is being delivered Friday. We've waited 2+ months for this sucker, so we're pretty excited to stretch out in our own wing of sectional couch heaven. Our deadline for this room has always been November 14th. Which shouldn't have been a problem. But the set back with installing the ductwork put this project behind 2 weeks, and now we are struggling to finish in time. And while I didn't want to be pulling all-nighters to grout tile and fill nail holes, we don't really have a choice. But it all be worth it once I plop my behind on a brand spanking new sofa (that's so big it needs it's own zip code).

I'm sitting here at 10pm the night before I'm supposed to paint the walls, and I still haven't chosen a paint color. So while I mull over 50 shades of gray, take a look at the different rooms we've drooled over while planning our own addition.

Ceiling beams and furniture arrangement humanize the scale of a large room. breaking into smaller convo areas would help too.
